December 2001 Pet of the Month

Abby Michelle

Abby MichelleMany of you have been waiting to see my little Pug, so I would like to introduce Abby.

Our family adopted her last December at the age of 6 months.  We had recently lost a beloved Shih Tzu, Tiffany, so Abby was welcome with open arms.

I quickly discovered she had a serious problem with her bowels, but wasn't sure at the time what was causing it.  She suffered almost all the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Disease--abdominal pain, mucus in the stool, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, bloating, anorexia, and intolerances to almost every food.

Abby MichelleI did not suspect a worm infestation, because I saw the previous owner de-worm her before I brought her home.  However, after testing, if was discovered she had hookworms and whipworms which she was treated for traditionally without success.

Abby's health quickly declined and she started losing weight rapidly. We really felt at one point we would lose her.

I finally decided to treat her for Giardia. Giardia is a gastrointestinal infection caused by a microscopic parasite called Giardia lamblia. This is a common parasite causing gastrointestinal illness. It is found in the stools of many animals, including rodents, dogs, cats, cattle, and wild animals. It  multiplies in the small intestine.  Symptoms of Giardia are diarrhea, foul, greasy stools, abdominal cramps, bloating, increased gas, weakness, and weight loss -- all the symptoms Abby was suffering from.

I began using Giardia & Parasitic Cleanse 4x daily, and within 1 week she started gaining weight and showing increased energy.

After many vitamins and a continued treatment on Giardia & Parasitic and Herbal Wormer, she has made a full recovery. Abby now as you can see is very happy and healthy.
