Comments:	: : : My 15 year old cat had his first epileptic seizure two days after I gave him some 2-year old Advantage from the cabinet. He had another one the next night. I'm calling them epileptic seizures because they seem very much like what my Chesapeake Bay Retriever who had epilepsy used to have. He's on Science Diet ID diet already because he's had inflammatory bowel syndrone which caused him to not absorb his food very well. That seems fairly stable. I'm feeling like diet didn't cause it. It may be a coincidence that they started. My other older cat had no problem with this Advantage stuff. : : : I've hesitated to take him to the emergency room because I'm not sure what they can do if it is toxins. I'm making sure he gets soupy food, and some home-made pie or honey, in case he should be on the hypoglycemic schedule. : : : His rear legs aren't quite steady, and the last seizure happened last night. Has anyone heard similar things about Advantage? Do you think the fact that his legs are wobbly should be a big clue? I wonder what they can do for neurological symptoms at the vet. I think having bloodwork to make sure his organs are all fine sounds like all they could do. Any ideas on de-toxing him? : : : Thanks very much for any info. Clumping Litter contains a clumping agent that is not digested and over time can cause digestive challenges to occur, such as IBS. We do not charge for our time. : hi, just wanted to comment on your posting. my dog 19 months, miniture schnauzer, also starting having seizures after using the advantage treatment. his started the same evening of using the treatment. he has not been the same dog since. i have had him to four vets, two specialest and they don't have any answers. the suggest that i take him to purdue university for more intense testing. (they say first visit could run up to $2000., i can't afford this) so toby and i are just taking one day at a time he keeps getting worse now he is having problems in the eye area. a couple of knots come up on his brows and his eyes just move in all directions and it is like he is not controlling them. it is really irritating to him. he crys to me and he cannot sleep, we are both up all hours of the night. i just don't know what to do or where to go. there are many other problems that he has encountered since the advantage treatment back in early Feb. some of which are problems in his hind quarters, scratching, biting and pulling his fur off of all of his legs, he has a very bad odor and many others. if you would like to email me, if you have other problems with your cat, that would be fine. i wish you the best of luck with your cat and i pray that your kitty doesn't end up like my toby. oh by the way, i contacted the company that manufactures advantage and thier comments to me on my issue was they haven't had problems with thier product and animals and that advantage does not enter the blood stream so it could not be the cause of toby's problems. again i wish you the best.
