Dogs and seizures

A homemade diet does not fit into everyone’s lifestyle, and if this is the case, Purely Pets recommends a high-quality pet food to control dog seizures and cat seizures.  The dry or canned food you use should contain at least three or four proteins (meat sources), and should be the first ingredients.  If the food contains grains, they should be WHOLE grains, not fragments from a grain.  

It is important to read labels carefully. When you see “meal”, this means that the food actually contains meat – no feathers, feet, or internal organs. When you see “by-product” this means everything except the meat.  Avoid foods containing synthetic preservatives such as butylated hydroxyanisol (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), propyl gallate, propylene glycol, and ethoxyquin.
